What Shelf OS is

Shelf OS is a read-only inventory planning app for Shopify merchants. It recommends what to reorder and highlights dead stock. It never writes products, orders, inventory, or purchase orders back to your store.

Data we access

With your permission, Shelf OS reads:

• Products and variants (titles, SKUs, barcodes, costs, prices)
• Orders and refunds (for sales velocity)
• Inventory levels and locations
• Shop name, timezone, currency, and owner email (for digests)

Scopes are limited to read_products, read_orders, read_all_orders, read_inventory, and read_locations — read-only without exception. read_all_orders extends order history past Shopify's 60-day default so a full year of sales can inform seasonality; it grants no write access.

Data we store

Synced catalog, daily sales aggregates, inventory snapshots, planning settings you enter in Shelf OS (costs, suppliers, case packs), and recommendation history. Money values are stored as integer cents.

Email

If enabled, we send a weekly Monday buy-list digest (and optional risk alerts on Growth+) to the address you configure. Email delivery uses Resend. You can turn digests off in Settings.

GDPR / deletion

On Shopify's shop/redact webhook we delete the shop and cascaded data. Customer redact / data-request topics are acknowledged; Shelf OS does not store customer PII beyond what appears in aggregated order totals (no names, addresses, or emails of customers).
